LIARS versus TRUTH TELLERS; essentialists versus existentialists: this kind of dialectical pieces was what I usually read during Sundays as a philosophy student and later as an intellectual whilst earning a living in the capitalist system.

The "truth" about human nature is not that complicated: we do tell lies to ourselves and others and are confused to various extents concerning the "real" us. We struggle quite a lot of the time, pretending to be much more stable. Anyway, instead of being a self-righteous moral/revolutionary absolutist with big mouth and high ideals, I would prefer to be an existentialist with leftist socio-political inclination, and to have the honesty of admitting some of the lies, if not immediately then afterwards.

In my younger days, I would go out and debate with comrades on reading such an article. With sagging energy now, I probably need a nap later.
